Dr. Sheehy

Dr. Kevin Sheehy joined the team at WCV in 2018 as an experienced Veterinarian to help take exceptional care of your furry family members. In 2016 —Dr. Sheehy relocated to Sonoma County with his lovely wife Lisa (Certified Sommelier) to be close to family.

Originally from Los Gatos, California—Kevin was a valued Veterinarian at Los Gatos Dog and Cat Hospital for over 19 years. Dr. Sheehy graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors . Upon graduation Sheehy elected to complete a 13-month internship in Emergency medicine at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital. During this time—he expanded his surgical skill set, gained valuable experience and worked with seasoned veterinarians to provide his career with a diverse knowledge base.

Kevin continues to expand his knowledge and give back to his Alma Mater by working as an Adjunct Professor at WSU wherein he helps teach second year Veterinary students in a case-based learning program called Diagnostic Challenge.

Kevin is delighted to be joining Wine Country Veterinary hospital. He enjoys his free time with wife Lisa and their two beloved dogs Baby G ( Catahoula Hound) and Frankee ( a 'career change' white Labrador from the Bergin Institute of Canine Studies (in Rohnert Park). Kevin also enjoys traveling the world, hiking their dogs as well as cooking for family and friends while enjoying fine wines.
